モリダイラ社主催のコンテストで2003年に最優秀賞を受賞しアコースティック・ギター界最高峰の技を究めた関口の待望の初アルバム。(2)(5)(9)(12)は自作曲。連戦練磨のプロたちが注目する華麗な関口テクニックが満載されているにもかかわらず、たおやかで気負いのない仕上がりが素敵だ。
関口祐二 (セキグチ・ユウジ)
1960年東京生まれ。小学生時代から独学でギターを学び、後に宮之上貴昭に師事。ジャズを基本としつつも、フォークやロックなども吸収した幅広いプレイを聴かせる。渋谷盛良グループ、菅原洋子、琉などのサポートを務め、04年『MELODIES OF LOVE』でソロ・デビュー。数々の賞を受賞したのが頷けるフィンガー・ピッキングと温かみのある音質が特徴のアコースティック・ギターの名手。
