サウジアラビアの首都リヤド近郊の「赤い砂漠」で採取した「砂」50グラムです。最近ではサウジアラビアへは観光で行けることが出来るようになったとは言え、なかなか行けない国の一つです。
出品者はまだ観光では訪問できない時代に、仕事の関係で数年間の現地滞在中に自身で入手したものです。
「赤い砂漠」とは首都リヤドから車で行ける日帰り範囲の砂漠で、特徴は鉄分を多く含んでいるとのことで色が「赤い」ことで有名な砂漠です。
現在の天皇陛下ご夫妻が皇太子だったころサウジアラビアをご訪問された際に訪問した砂漠と言う事でも有名です。
最後の画像は現地「赤い砂漠」に行くまでの途中の景色（記念撮影）です。ご参考まで。
出品の砂は出品者自身が現地で採取したもので、他から入手したものではありません。

この砂をヨーロッパの蚤の市で購入したアンティークな小瓶に入れました。
小瓶の栓は、コルクで自作したものですのでご了承ください。
