交換用オイルフィルターになります。
エンジンオイルを濾過してクリーンに保ちます。
■特徴
エンジンには多くの摺動部があり、それらの摩擦抵抗を減らし、磨耗の防止やエンジンを冷却することが主な目的でエンジンオイルが使われています。
エンジンオイルは使用しているうちに、外から侵入した異物や燃焼によって発生するカーボンなどで徐々に汚れてきます。
こうした不純物は「エンジン内部を磨耗させ、傷め、エンジンの寿命を短くします。」オイルフィルタはこのようなオイル中の有害な不純物を取り除き、綺麗なオイルをエンジンに供給する役目をしています。
■交換目的
オイル中のスラッジ、カーボン、金属粉などの不純物をフイルタで濾過することで取り除いておりますので、使っているうちに徐々にフィルタ内に不純物がたまりフィルタが目詰まりをおこします。
フィルタの目詰まりによりオイルの流れが悪くなるとリリーフバルブが開き、濾過をしないオイルがそのままエンジン各部へ送られるためにエンジンに悪影響を及ぼします。
それらを防ぐために定期的な交換をお勧めいたします。
■交換時期
各車の整備手帳、取扱い説明書に定められた交換時期が基準ですが、使用環境、使用状況により変わります。
通常使用の場合でもフィルタの中にはオイルが残ります。
オイルを交換する際は、フィルタ内の汚れたオイルを除去するためにも、オイルとフィルタの同時交換が理想的です。
