今回はレミング(北極たびねずみ、ハムスターみたいに可愛いです)という哺乳動物の特異な生態をテーマにした、テテならではの「人間批評」が印象的な辛口アルバム。 思わず一緒に口ずさんでしまうメロディーの奥に潜む人間の儚さ、哀しさ、面白さに吸い込まれてしまいます。
1975年西アフリカのセネガル生まれ。幼くしてフランスに渡る。15歳の時にプレゼントされたギターで音楽の道へ。パーカッシヴなギターと一度聞いたら忘れられない声、そしてブルースフィーリング溢れるポップなメロディで、聞く人の心をわしづかみする。2005年、2007年の二度の来日ツアーで人気を決定づけた。フランス語会話(NHK教育TV)のテーマ曲や、キリン缶チューハイ「氷結」のCMで「風になりたい」のカヴァーなどでも話題に。今、最も注目されるシンガー・ソングライター。
