大統領に成り代わろうとしたサイラーにネイサンとしての記憶を植え付けて封印してから６週間、彼らとその家族はそれぞれ新しい生活を送っていた。
ニューヨークでは、ピーターは引き続き救命士として働いていたが、彼一人では能力を使っても救える命には限界がある感じ始める。
ネイサンは自身に違和感を覚えその事を母アンジェラに相談し、アンジェラはネイサンの中にサイラーが復活しかけている事を知りマットに助けを求めるが 「俺を巻き込むな」 と断られてしまう。
