アーティストについて
テキサス・オースティン伝説のスーパー・ギタリスト。高校生の頃からジャズ・バンドでプレイ。62年、ジャズ・フェスのコンテストで賞を獲得、その名を南部で広く知られるようになる。ジャズ・ギターの大御所、ハーブ・エリスや、アコースティック・スウィングの異端児、ダン・ヒックスなどとも共演。ブルーグラスにも深い愛情を示し、1970年代に自身のレーベル、リッジランナーを興した。現在はジャズ・ファラオズと自身のバンド、ドリーム・バンドで活躍中。
