日野元彦のスリーブラインドマイスの名盤「流氷」の3ヶ月後に、ほぼ同メンバーでヤマハホールで行われたコンサートをスリーブラインドマイスが録音していたのを時を超えて復刻したものです。当時体調不良だった日野元彦のサポートで今村祐司がサポートに入った事もあって、そのマイナスを補って余りあるライブとなってます。「流氷」は清水、山口のツインテナーはもちろんド迫力で、特に山口真文のテナーは冴え渡ってます。渡辺香津美のギターも素晴らしいですね。特に渡辺香津美のオリジナル「オリーブステップ」の23分にも及ぶ演奏は白眉です
