天才的暗記能力と空間認識能力をもつ＜サヴァン症候群＞の青年パク・シオンは、幼い頃に出会った医師チェ・ウソクにその才能を見出され、医師の道を目指す。だが、病歴が問題視されたシオンは国家試験で不合格処分となり、合格を得るため、ウソクが病院長を務めるソンウォン大学病院で医師としての能力が検証されることになる。例のないことに医師たちは不安を抱くが、シオンが偶然遭遇した事故現場で応急処置をする動画がネットで話題となり、小児外科のレジデントとして特別採用することに。小児外科教授で、ウソクの弟子でもあるキム・ドハンは、自分の科にシオンが来ることに納得がいかないが、恩師で信頼を置くウソクに頼まれ、仕方なくシオンを受け入れる。そんな中、病院の寮に入ったシオンは酔って部屋を間違えて眠ってしまった小児外科フェローのチャ・ユンソと出会う。翌朝、目覚めて驚くユンソだが、一風変わったシオンに興味を抱く。その日からシオンの小児外科レジデントとしての日々が始まるが、患者を助けたい一心で無謀なことをし、初日から騒動を起こしてしまう。「トラブルメーカー」の刻印を押され、周囲から厳しい目で見られるシオンだが、小児外科医になるという夢を叶えるべく、日々奮闘していく。
