4×4のアンダーボディは、オフロード走行時に最も損傷を受けやすいエリアの一つです。メーカー装着の純正のアンダーガードの場合、飛び石からの車両保護には充分ですが、未舗装路で遭遇する岩や切り株、わだちからの保護を強化するには、より堅牢なソリューションが必要です。
ARBアンダーヴィークルプロテクションは、車両ドライブトレインの最も重要な部分への損傷のリスクを最小限に抑えるため、それぞれの車両に合わせた車両保護となっています。
レーザー切断により切り出した3mmの鉄板にプレス加工を施す事で、厚みを最小限（重さを最小限）に抑えながら、最大限の強度を実現しています。付属する全てのスチール部品は亜鉛メッキの上にシルバーのパウダーコート（テクスチャー仕上げ）を施しています。車両のシャーシにボルトで固定します。装着するためのボルトの多くは岩などに直接あたりにくい構造となっており、車両の修理の際などに外しやすくなっています。
