SUS304 XM7とは？
ＳＵＳ３０４を加工しやすくしたステンレス鋼がＳＵＳＸＭ７です。
ＳＵＳ３０４の短所は冷間加工性がよくないことです。 加工によって硬化し、「割れ」や「欠け」が発生することもあります。 また金型や工具の寿命も短くコスト高になります。 そこで柔らかい金属のＣｕ（銅）を添加して加工硬化性を抑え冷間加工しやすくステンレス鋼がＳＵＳＸＭ７です。 耐食性や強度はＳＵＳ３０４と同等です。
ステンレスの鋼種名は、ＳＵＳ３０４やＳＵＳ４１０などのようにＳＵＳの後に３桁の数字がつきます。ＳＵＳＸＭ７のような鋼種名は独特ですがＪＩＳ規格にも認定された鋼種です。
