1989年の発売以来、1度も再発されていなかった幻の傑作シングル『Get Up and Do It EP.』がボーナストラックを収録してついに再発!1986年の夏、NO-LIPを辞めたRoger Armstrongが元C.O.P.のKevin CrowとSICを結成。その後、ヴォーカルはJohnに、ギターはサトシからDan へとメンバーチェンジを行った。
当時、音楽的にはDischargeなどのヨーロッパのハードコアに影響を受け、鋲ジャンにスパイクヘアーのハードコアパンクスが多かった日本で、外国人と日本人メンバーが混在し、アメリカのハードコアやスラッシュに影響を受けたバンドはかなり珍しかった。客層もネルシャツにハーフパンツ姿のスケーターパンクスが多く集まり、新しい流れを感じさせた。
この『Get Up and Do It EP.』はバンド後期であり最盛期のメンバー、Ken(ヴォーカル)、 8ch(ギター)、オリジナルメンバーであるRoger(ドラム)とSugichan(ベース)で録音されたもの。1989年にDOGMAレコードから発売されたが即完売。同年12月27日にSIC は解散。2005 年に発売された音源集にもこの音源だけ収録されず、オークションサイトでは¥ 15,000を超える値段をつけ続けている。
2023年末、SIC 創設メンバーのRogerがひき逃げで亡くなるという悲しい事件があり、残ったメンバーが「何かしてあげたい、何か形にしたい」と『Get Up and Do It EP.』の再発と、追悼イベント『Thrash Back』を行うことになった。今回の収益はRogerの裁判費用に充てられる。
本CDには、同じメンバーで録音されオムニバスに提供された楽曲もボーナストラックとして収録されている。さらに2024年に行ったインタビューもブックレットに掲載。『Get Up and Do It EP. Plus』としてついに発売!
