クラッチセンタースプリングはチューニングエンジン用です。パワーの無いノーマル車両にキタコ製センタースプリングのみを装着しても変速の妨げになり、結果、最高速の低下につながる場合があります。スプリングが強すぎる例プーリーがローレシオのまま、ハイレシオヘの変速が開始せす、最高速が落ちる低速域にもかかわらずエンジンの回転数が限界まで上がってしまいエンジンの焼き付きやオーバーヒート等のトラブルの原因になります。
クラッチセンタースプリングは、ウエイトローラー等と同じようにセッティングパーツですので、運転者の体重や、マシンの使用過度、さらには走行特性の好みも含めて、ベストなスプリング強度が異なります。
センタースプリングのみを装着しても変速の妨げになり、結果、最高速の低下につながる場合があります。
