従来のリードバルブが1枚のプレート状になっているのに対して、ボイセンパワーリードは硬度の異なる2種類のバルブで構成。その為従来では混合気の流速が遅く、バルブの開度が不十分になりがちな低速域でも、よりしなやかなセカンダリーポートがすばやく反応し、十分な開度が得られ、より適切な混合気がシリンダー内に充填され、アクセル開度に応じた鋭いレスポンスを生み出す。
