イーノのオブスキュア・レーベルと自然に呼応したエレクトロ黎明期の作品集として名高いオムニバス・アルバム「沫」(1981年YLEM)に収録され知るところとなった”マングースの右足”は、この翌81年に始まる”トリスタン・ディスコ”(1983年に白石隆之が参加)や、初期ピチカートVやヴァリエテと並び称されるポップ・ユニット”スパナ”、さらに白石隆之とのテクノ・ユニット”MUSICA NOVA”(1998)でも知られる園田潤の原点である重要ユニット。
ディスコ・ダブ、ミニマル・シンセ・ポップ、エクスペリメンタル・アート・ロックの44年目の大発見として注目されましょう。
