【CD１枚】国内盤 POCJ-2149 コニッツ独特の広がり感を絶妙に支えた会心作。ビル・エヴァンスやジム・ホールも参加した貴重なアルバム。 この録音も引き続いてgiuffreが編曲を担当していますが、前作とは少々内容の趣を異にしていて、全曲スタンダードが占めている。ソリストをほぼkonitzに絞っているため、随分と温かくなった彼の吹奏を肩肘張らずに堪能できます。全８曲中、半分はbill evansが参加。何れも控えめな伴奏に落ち着いていますが、残りの４曲はピアノを入れずにjim hallが参加。私は本盤の後者に脱帽しました。hallは一切、ソロを入れていません。が、この存在感はただ事じゃないです。ブラスを中心にしたアンサンブル(バッキング)とkonitzのアルトの隙の無い音塊を全て、hallの実に繊細なギターの鳴りと微妙な感覚に富んだハーモニーが包み込んでいる。もの凄く美しいです。いつも息を呑んで聴き入っています。ソロが無い作品なのに、個人的にはhallの最も好きな演奏を聴ける１枚になっていて、その事に驚いています。中古ですので小さな汚れあります。まとめて買えばお安くなります。Similar Category Items
