1977年に出ていたハルヲフォンがブッカーT＆MGｓになりきっていろんな曲をカバーしたアルバム。しかし、本物の方がカバーしてない曲だけをカバーしたという、日本一のへそ曲がり男・近田春夫先生らしいコンセプト。知らずにAMラジオの交通情報のバックに流れていたら、「ああ、ブッカーTか、懐かしいなあ・・」とまったく気づかないかもしれないくらいソックリの音です。でもジャケットには、ハルヲフォンとか近田春夫とかの文字は全く入ってないんだよねー。
