1970年代を代表する名盤のひとつで1970年代のジャズ・アンダーグラウンドで最も注目された作品のひとつ。アメリカの1970年代ジャズ・アンダーグラウンドで最も輝いたレーベル、トライブをナウ・アゲインが再発。20世紀のブラック・アメリカン体験の中で、最も意義深く、ローカルなムーブメントのひとつであり、その音楽とストーリーを堪能するチャンスだ。宇宙に向かって広がっていったムーブメントのひとつである。彼らの言葉を借りれば"音楽は宇宙の癒しの力である"。ラリー・ガブリエルとジェフ・"チェアマン"・マオは、特大のブックレットに収録されている。レーベルの歴史や主要人物についても掘り下げた説得力のあるストーリーで、私たちをトライブの歴史へと導いてくれる。また20世紀後半におけるブラック・アメリカンのエンパワーメントの物語でもある。
