新車販売当時の「ビート」のサスセッティングは、一般的なオーナー様が乗ることを意識して、ミッドシップエンジンによる挙動変化をおさえたことが特徴です。今回、私達が目指したのは、ミッドシップ車らしいものに近づけ、『四輪で舵を切るようなハンドリング』をテーマに開発を行いました。
また、接地性能を追及し、前後のバランスを整える事は、乗り心地にも大きな効果をもたらしました。セッティングは、スプリングレートで、フロントはダウンさせリアは逆に上げた設定となっています。これに組み合すダンパーについては、全体に減衰力はノーマルより上がってはいますが、単純に硬いわけではなく、微低速域から、しっかりと減衰が発生しつつ、高速域でも対応する様な設定となっています。また、旋回中における、アクセルコントロールにて、手に取る様に車両の動きが感じ取れるのです。すべての動きが 自分の手の内に収まる、これは素晴らしい感覚であり、とても楽しく感じられるサスペンションに仕上がりました。是非、Moduloスポーツサスペンションの走行性能をご体感頂き、もっと「ビート」での走る楽しさを実感してください。
