北欧ジャズ・シーンで注目されているピアニスト/コンポーザー、田中鮎美のECM初リーダー作品がついにリリース。ECMからジャズのリーダー作品をリリースするの菊地雅章、福盛進也に続き日本人3人目！2011年にオスロに渡り、ノルウェー国立音楽院のジャズ・即興音楽科に入学した田中は故ミシャ・アルペリンに師事する中、2013年に若手ベーシスト、クリスティアン・ メオス・ スヴェンセンと、過去6回ノルウェーのグラミー賞受賞経験を持つドラマー、ペール ・オッドヴァール ・ヨハンセンに出会い、田中鮎美トリオを結成、2016年にアルバム『Memento』でデビュー。同年日本ツアーも果たしたが、本作はそれ以来5年ぶりとなる2枚目の作品。本作も前作に続き、伝統的なジャズ・ピアノ・トリオの楽器編成を用いながらも、室内楽アンサンブルのように捉えることにより、独自のピアノ・トリオの音作りを目指した作品。 (C)RS
